Yesterday was an eventful, yet solemn one. We found ourselves visiting Westminster Palace (outside only, unfortunately), Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and, finally, Covent Gardens

I was so excited to see Elizabeth Tower and Big Ben with no scaffolding. The last several times we have been here, one face or another was under construction. It was so nice to see it in all of its glory this time!

Next, we made our way to Westminster Abbey and we were able to enter and see the Abbey. To say it was beautiful and moving is an understatement! The feeling in this place of celebration of all stages of life was humbling to be a part of! We were even able to tour the queen’s gallery though we were not able to take pictures.

We had a quick lunch at a pub, which was scrummy! And finally, we went to Covent Gardens and shopped around. I purchased a new fragrance. It was another great day!!
