Yesterday we went kayaking in Flåm, Norway. It was beautiful, but not for me!
Gearing up was easy enough, except for the slightly funky smell. We got ready and boarded the kayak. Then we got the rudder set and secured our water skirts.

Finally, we were off and going. I was good for the first five minutes and, then, my back disagreed with the activity and in a very loud way!
Luckily for me, my husband was a hero and got us to our destination regardless of my on and off participation in paddling. After about an hour and a half, we landed for a lunch that was prepared by our guides. After our meal and a short break, we were lead back to our kayaks to return back. Again, for five or so minutes I was very excited to be back in the kayak… and then the pain was back.
Again, my husband was a hero and we were both motivated once we saw the shore. I loved being in nature, but am not sure kayaking is the way for me.
